Anime Video Clips

I decided to take this site in a different direction then most other web sites I've visited. It is made up of mostly video clips from different Anime shows that I have seen. There are not a lot of pictures, fancy graphics and do-dads, nor stories or "editoral" comments about the shows, just lots of video clips.

These pages will take you a step beyond the "trailers" you see as advertisements and give you a better "look and feel" for the show. Again, the point of this web site is to give you a better idea of what the show is like. To help you make a more informed decision to either buy the series or not.

The video clips are design to be used with Microsoft Windows Media Player 6.4, 7.+ and 9.0 (Files ending in .asf are for WMP 6.4 and files ending in .wmv are for WMP 7.+ and 9.0). One set can be streamed straight to your PC at 28.8 Kbps. The image size is 160 X 112 and will be grainy with jerky motion. The other set are ZIPped files recorded for 100 Kbps streaming that you can download and play later. The image size is 240 X 176 and will be clearer with smoother motion. The links for those files will be on each corresponding streaming video page.

Note: There is a problem with playing .asf files on WMP 7.+, picture but no sound. I'm still experimenting with WMP 9.0 but have been able to play the .asf files if the correct codec is downloaded from Microsoft's web site when prompted by Media Player.

At the bottom of each page should be a link to "The Store" and the Amazon.com web site. "The Store" is a web page I've built with direct links to Amazon.com for different anime DVD's, VHS Tapes and Books. There is also an Amazon.com search box where you can enter key words to look for different products.

Please do not take these clips and put them on your site. It takes me about an hour to create each streaming / zipped clip combination, so there has been a lot of time put into this site. However, you may link to any of these pages (not individual clips) if you desire.

A side note: This site is my Winter project. Other than minor tweaks, it stays static during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons.
